Sydney, AU, is littered with steep properties that run down to the waterfront. While they are beautiful sites with water access and stunning views, they have many unique challenges. Wastewater drainage is among these challenges; with the street mains often located above the property, there is no traditional method for wastewater drainage.

To drain the wastewater from the property, an inground lifting station offers the only straightforward solution. Located at the bottom of the steep property, a Sanifos 1000 ZFS Twin is buried underground. This inground lifting station takes all the wastewater from the property and pumps it up and past the property into the street level sewage mains.

“One major challenge of a site like this is drainage. There are no mains at the low end of the property, so somehow the waste needs to be moved back up to the street. The Sanifos 1000 ZFS offered a solution which featured both the tank size and lifting capacity we required for this site”.

SANIFOS 1000 ZFS

The Sanifos 1000 ZFS is a high-lift and high capacity in-ground lifting station designed for both whole of house and commercial usage. It features dual pumps that can pump wastewater up to 20m vertically or 220m horizontally (or a combination of both). It features a float activated alarm system and external control panel.
